The Empty Tomb
At dawn on the first day after the Sabbath, the women who came to the tomb found the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. The angel announced, "He is not here; he has risen" (Luke 24).
Jesus Who Appeared
The risen Jesus appeared in person to Mary Magdalene, to two disciples on the road to Emmaus, to the eleven in the upper room, and even to doubting Thomas. The resurrection is confirmed not by rumor but by encounter.
The Foundation of Faith
Paul writes, "If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless" (1 Corinthians 15). The resurrection is the ground of a living hope that death is not the end.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the resurrection so important?
Because it proves that Jesus' death was not a defeat but a victory over sin and death. As Paul says, without the resurrection the Christian faith itself does not stand.
