Memory Verse
Memory verse
Don’t worry. It is I. Do not be afraid.
Matthew 14:27
Talk Together
Talk together
- What was Peter looking at when he began to sink, and who lifted him up?
- When something scary and hard happens, what does it mean to look to Jesus?
- If Jesus always takes our hand, how can you pray when you are worried?
Prayer
Pray together
Jesus, thank You for saying "It is I, do not be afraid" when there are scary, hard things. When I am shaken, help me call out to You like Peter. I believe in You, Jesus, who always takes my hand. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Activity
Things to try
- Draw the stormy sea and Jesus walking on it.
- Practice together a short prayer to call out when you are afraid: "Jesus, help me."
- Write down something that worries you these days and pray, giving it to Jesus.
