Memory Verse

Memory verse

Humble yourself before God, and He will lift you up.

James 4:10

Talk Together

Talk together

  1. Why did the people try to build a tower reaching to the sky?
  2. Why did God make the people’s languages different from one another?
  3. When you want to show off something you did well, how can you keep a humble heart?

Prayer

Pray together

God, sometimes I want to brag and lift myself up. Like the people of Babel, help me never to forget You. Help me humble my heart before You and know that every good thing comes from You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Activity

Things to try

  • Stack a tall tower with blocks and see what happens when it gets too high.
  • Name three things you are thankful to God for today.
  • Practice being the first to say “thank you” and “I’m sorry” to a friend.
