Old Testament · character
Noah
A righteous man who built an ark in the midst of the flood.
Noah was a man who walked alone with God in a corrupt generation. He built an ark to save his family and the living creatures, and received the covenant of the rainbow.
Obedience Against the Times
When the whole earth was corrupt, Noah — who had never even seen rain — spent decades building an enormous ark. It was a faith that followed God's word exactly, even amid mockery.
The Rainbow Covenant
After the flood, God gave the rainbow as the sign of his promise, "Never again will I destroy the world with water" (Genesis 9). It is a mark of grace that continues even after judgment.
